Our guest tonight, Larry Overstreet, has quite the following. Larry was in the Chicagoland area, so offered to be live in-studio. Wow, were we surprised when three airplanes from the Capital City Flyers Flying Club in Madison, WI (KMSN) flew it to watch the show live. Marc added some pizza and salad, and it turned out to be a fly-out of the best kind. Great conversation, great people, and good food (and free!). Larry talked about the start up of the local KMSN IMC club, and how it drives IFR proficiency from multiple perspectives. Larry also talked about his avgeek status (follow him at @larryoverstreet), KOSH, and introduced our audience to CAP CITY Flying Club president, Colin Maitland, and treasurer, Dan Coyne. Listen in and get some insight to some of the operations of a well-run equity flying club. Nice surprise was to also have Kent Shook (of pilotcast fame) in the house. Kent impressed all with his knowledge of the FAR's (can three people really log PIC time in one flight), and had all of us salivating over his beautiful Mooney Ovation which is for sale. With all the live guests, there wasn't much time to talk Current News events, but Al and Marc did get a chance to mention the important bill in the Wisconsin General Assembly which seeks to provide a tax waiver for all GA maintenance sales. That goes a long way to reducing the cost of flying. Let's not forget Marc's introduction into Cheese Curds! Mmmmm Mmmmmm Good! We hope you enjoy the show, and now that a precedent is set, please let us know if you'd like to stop by and watch the show "in-studio". We'll buy the pizza!!!
