Dan Pimentel, famous blogger and creator of airplanista.com joined Al and Marc tonight (and guest host Trevor) to talk about the passion of flight and the lesser known, but more powerful social side of aviation which is fostering the next generation of aviators. Dan also shared how he finds the bandwidth to produce all of his writings, including blogs, magazine articles, and tweets. Tonight's show quickly got into the often debated topic of how long and how much to preheat our airplane's engine. Marc shared his experience flying with a scheduled Part 135 airline between Chicago's O'Hare and St. Louis. The show finished up with our regular visit from BoldMethod (www.boldmethod.com) answering the question about a Private Pilot's ability to be reimbursed by his employer for flying a plane to a company event.
