 With Al flying back from KLAS, Marc had the pleasure of having Lora Yowell of Aviation Universe (www.aviationuniverse.us) step into her familiar role as guest host to help Marc welcome back one of our favorite guests, Adam Smith. Two years ago, Adam joined Al and Marc on their first remote broadcast, as he was embarking on a role with AOPA to revitalize the pilot community. His work caught the eye of the industry, with multiple offers coming his way. He decided to move to Texas to take on an Executive VP position, responsible for strategic development with the Commemorative Air Force (www.commemorativeairforce.org). As you listen, you will understand that his vision, passion, and knowledge make him the perfect candidate for the job and why he stands as a role model for SimpleFlight's mission of finding amazing people doing amazing things in aviation. Marc and Lora managed to fit in a lot of GA discussion including the Fresno FSDO's decision to retest all pilots that received their rating from a specific DPE from 2012 and 2013. Ouch. Marc talked about some really cool videos including the formation flight of 5 new Airbus A350's. the AOPA giveaway, and a video on how naval aviation changed the war. Marc discussed how some pilots confuse the green arc with maneuvering speed, and also about his test to see the effects of altitude on blood oxygen levels.
