With Al heading off to a family event (requiring the use of an airplane of course), and Marc involved with family as well on this beautiful Father's Day, it was decided better to record a 30 minute show ahead of time, rather than canceling the show. We love this too much, and so do you!!!
The guys shared a little of the past couple days in aviation, included Marc's Saturday morning flying in a V-Tail Bonanza, a Piper Mirage, a Cessna 172, and a Pilatus PC-12. Now that's the way to spend a couple hours on a Saturday morning. Al's weekend experience started with a student flying to Chicago to meet Al, departing from KOSU in Ohio, landing at KGYY to get Al, and continuing on to KSUX (you gotta love that identifier), before dropping Al off at KAPA. What a great experience to take an 1100 NM trip, which included IFR navigating, ATC diversions, 4 different airports, and a little time to get so far ahead of the airplane, that they could just sit back and listen to Al's Special Flying Mix! Is it just me, or is the 30 minute Father's Day podcast just silence? Or is that what you wanted for Father's Day? LOL
