The boys are back in town tonight and looking forward to doing some hangar flying. With listeners writing in with questions, topics, and perspectives, the karma is perfect for that kind of show.
One of our listeners, Mike Barbarone, called in with a frustrating and common experience. That being the confusion of finding a variety of aviation weather sources, with different forecasts, different formats, and are many times, WRONG. How frustrating to end a vacation earlier than expected due to an ominous weather forecast that totally misses the mark. Al and Marc talk to Mike about how they look at weather and analyze the factors (including passenger makeup, fuel level, complicating factors, etc.) to come up with a set of alternatives which are as varied as the weather outcomes.
It's these kind of hangar flying sessions that bring us together and make us a smarter and more informed community.
Thanks for listening. Blue Skies and Tailwinds!
