  Tonight was incredible. How often do you get two passionate people together and hear what they are doing with aviation? We were excited to have Jim Krieger from O'Hare and Dave Siewert from JFK on the show tonight. They are taking ownership of aviation safety for the flying public as well as fellow aviators. Dave and Jim are the leaders of the ACAC - Airport Construction Advisory Council. Within their organization they have a really made a push of transmitting NOTAM and safety information more effectively to pilots. They are also leading a global effort to create a learning community to make airport safety and construction safety better than it is. Think of it as a "Facebook for Airport Construction and Aviation Safety." There is a major need for a global community to promote safety like this. You don't have to take our word for it, read this article written up about the ACAC by Flight Safety Magazine. You can download a copy of the article below! Don't think that there isn't anything that you can do because there is. The success of this program depends greatly on pilot participation. You'd be doing Dave, Jim and quite frankly the flying public a favor by pointing out pertinent airport safety information. Not only do safety concerns need to be heard but the Airport Construction Advisory Council needs feedback too that this program is working.
