He is one of Al's students working on his Instrument rating. Alex usually comes in to the studio to listen to SimpleFlight Radio live on Sunday nights. This past week Alex and Al went on a long IFR training trip from Chicago to Phoenix in a Cirrus SR-20. A great story and friendship evolved from this trip. All you have to do is just begin to listen to Alex talk about what he learned. It was incredibly practical experience. Not only did he use the IFR system across the country, he used FBO's, his ipad, and learned a lot about VFR flying too. Listen to Al talks about how easy it is to teach this material as an instructor as well. One of SimpleFlight's guests came back to listen to the show live as well.
