We feel strongly about the value our guests provide to aviation, but every now and then we meet someone who is at a different level in their ability to improve someone's life through aviation. Tonight's guest, Linwood Nooe is such a person. Linwood is the man behind Operation Prop (operationprop.com), which is all about putting on events that bring aviation to the disabled. Whether a spinal cord injury, blindness, or anything else that might keep a person out of the air, Linwood is focused on doing what it takes to make their dream a reality. Spending the last couple years working to bring back adaptive hand controls that allows those without the use of their legs to control the rudder pedals and brakes with their hands, Linwood is a man on a very special mission. Be prepared to be moved and inspired by his efforts. Marc was joined by guest host Trevor Wesolowski, who joined in the conversation about his experience in landing at O'Hare under VFR conditions without a flight plan. The guys also talked about the AOPA response to the USA Today article (every pilot should be armed with that info), the Harrier that landed on an aircraft carrier without a nose wheel, why you should take your ATP written before 8/1/2014, and finished with taking a call from a surprise guest. As always, thanks for listening, tweeting, and being part of our special family. Blue Skies & Strong Tailwinds... http://traffic.libsyn.com/simpleflight/2014_06_29_Linwood_Nooe.mp3
