There are a lot of commercials being seen that talk about the "next big thing". They reference a popular smartphone, but we believe they miss the mark. Because the next big thing was the focus of tonight's show. Aero Glass (glass.aero) has captured the aviation world with an "augmented reality aerial navigation" solution. That's a technical name for a really cool situational awareness technology. Imagine what it would be like to feel like you're wearing Iron Man's suit, with a heads up display that gives you complete information about your flight. Victor airways, traffic, restricted airspace, "highway in the sky", navaids, AHARS, etc. And does so with relevance to the pilot's head movement. Listen in as Marc and Al talk with Jeffrey Johnson, co-founder of Aero Glass, and hear about the "vision" of aviation's future. As always, Marc and Al managed to cover a myriad of news topics, including the declining accident rate in general aviation, the paper airplane that flew at 96,537 feet, new SST biz jets coming our way, flight schools offering a college degree, and the move of one politician to limit the type of candidate eligible to be an air traffic controller. We know you'll enjoy the show! Wishing all our loyal fans a great week with strong Tailwinds and Blue Skies! http://traffic.libsyn.com/simpleflight/2014_09_21_Aero_Glass.mp3
