When one thinks of Oshkosh, the focus is generally on pilots and airplanes. Yet the most critical and yet forgotten piece is air traffic control. Tonight's guest, Mike Sabatino, a Chicago-based controller, worked his first Oshkosh this year, and stopped by SimpleFlight studios to share the experience. From Fisk, to Tower, to Departure, to Fond Du Lac, Mike did a great job of letting us "feel" what it's like to be coordinating traffic at the the world's busiest airport. You'll find out why Mike is a local favorite, as he talks about how important pilots are to his job and his focus on being pilot friendly. Want to know what it's like to be a controller? Take a listen. Thanks to all of our loyal listeners for being part of the SimpleFlight family. Tune in next week for another great show!
